Fishing guide
Сommon Shiner (Luxilus cornutus) is a large species of freshwater minnow, found in the waterways of North America. These fish usually inhabit rocky pools in medium sized rivers. Common Shiners are deep-bodied and slab-sided, with silvery sides and a darker colored back. Adult Common Shiners range in weight between 0.1 – 0.25 kg (3.5 – 7 oz), and feed predominantly on various aquatic invertebrates and some terrestrial insects.
When it comes to float, feeder, or bottom fishing, the best way to catch Common Shiner would be to use Red Worms on a size #8 hook.
