Lake Chub (Couesius Plumbeus), a freshwater minnow of the Carp family that is found in Canada and in the northernmost parts of the United States. Hence its name, this fish dwells primarily in lakes, but may also be found in rivers and streams. Lake Chub have elongated bodies with dark-brown backs, silver sides, and small barbels at the corners of the mouth. Adult fish usually grow to be around 10 cm (4 in) in length. The Lake Chub’s diet mostly consists of zooplankton, insects, aquatic insect larvae, and algae.
When it comes to float, feeder, or bottom fishing, the best way to catch Lake Chub would be to use Maggots on a size #12 hook.
