Fishing guide

Muskellunge (Esox masquinongy), often abbreviated “muskie”, is a solitary and somewhat uncommon pike valued as a fighting game fish that is native to North America. They usually have a light silver or greenish body with dark vertical stripes. The species prefers clear waters and usually lurks in aquatic vegetation. Muskies sometimes reach up to 1.8 m (6 ft) and almost 32 kg (70 lb). Most of their diets consist of fish, but can also include crayfish, frogs, ducklings, snakes, mice, other small mammals, and small birds.

If you prefer to use natural baits, then the best way to catch Muskie would be to use Large Minnows on a size #7/0 hook.

If you are more into artificial lures, you should go for some Shads.

The most successful lure is Pike Golem Lure 2 m, #8/0.
