Fishing guide

Norway Seaperch (Sebastes norvegicus) is a deepwater species of the North Atlantic, easily recognized by its vivid red color and spiny dorsal fin. Most specimens measure around 50 cm, but trophy catches can reach a full meter and weigh up to 15 kg. Found at depths between 100 and 500 meters, this species thrives near rocky slopes and cold, shadowy drop-offs. Feeding on small fish, shrimp, crabs, and squid, seaperch eagerly take both natural bait and deep-diving lures. Their firm, delicate meat makes them a favorite in both commercial fisheries and sport angling.

If you prefer to use natural baits, then the best way to catch Norway Seaperch would be to use Giant Tiger Prawn on a size #7/0 hook.

If you are more into artificial lures, you should go for some Nordic Pilkers.

The most successful lure is Yellow/Black Trophy Nordic Pilker 450 g, #7/0.
