Fishing guide

Shoal Bass (Micropterus cataractae) is a predator fish species from the genus of Black Basses native to North America. These fish exhibit olive coloration with distinct tiger stripes and have characteristically reddish eyes. Their length varies from 40-60 cm, and they can reach 4kg in weight. They are most often found in the warm waters of Mississippi, Florida and Georgia. The favourite food of this species includes insects and larvae. Crustaceans and small fish also make up an important part of its diet.

If you prefer to use natural baits, then the best way to catch Shoal Bass would be to use Shiners on a size #4/0 hook.
