Fishing guide

Thicklip Grey Mullet (Chelon Labrosus) is a coastal fish that typically inhabits lagoons and estuaries as well as freshwater areas of the Mediterranean and Black Seas and northeastern Atlantic. These fish stay in schools closer to shores, easily adapting to freshwater environments. Thicklip Grey Mullet can be distinguished by its elongated body with two short dorsal fins and a flat head with a small toothless mouth and a very thick upper lip. These fish typically grow to about 32 cm in length, with an average weight of 0.5 – 2 kg, with unique specimen sometimes reaching a weight of up to 3.5 kg. Its diet primarily consists of small invertebrates, algae, and aquatic vegetation.

If you prefer to use natural baits, then the best way to catch Thicklip Grey Mullet would be to use Shrimp on a size #1/0 hook.

If you are more into artificial lures, you should go for some Nano Spinners.

The most successful lure is Yellow Tiger Bug Barbless Nano Spinner 4 g, #1.
