Fishing guide

Volga Zander (Sander Volgensis) or Volga Pikeperch, is a European fish species of the Perch family found throughout Europe in the northern Black Sea basins from the Danube to the Kuban River drainages as well as Caspian Sea basin in the Volga River drainage. Silvery-grey in color with dark stripes on the side, the Volga Zander is much smaller than the common Zander or common Pikeperch, usually growing to a maximum length of 40 cm, with an average weight of 0.5 – 2 kg, although some unique specimen can reach a weight of up to 3 kg. Volga Zander predominantly feeds on fish fry and zooplankton.

If you want to catch Volga Zander using a spinning setup, you should go for some Worms.

The most successful lure is Dim Green / Glow Green Worm 10 cm.
