Fishing guide

The Yellow Perch (Perca flavescens) is a popular freshwater gamefish native to much of North America. This fish has a brass-colored body with dark vertical stripes, triangular in shape. Distinguished by two dorsal fins, one spiny and the other soft-rayed. It can grow to 50 cm (20 in) in length with a maximum weight of up to 2 kg (4.4 lb). The Yellow Perch is usually active only throughout the day, with the exception of spawning season, when it is active both day and night.
