Fishing guide

PlaceRound Goby (Neogobius Melanostomus) is a bottom-dwelling species of Goby, that is native to central Eurasia including the Black and Caspian seas. These fish are found in both freshwater and saltwater ecosystems and particularly prefer deep rivers, basins and coastal lagoons with sandy and rocky bottoms. Round Gobies are small, soft-bodied fish that are tawny-brown in color and can be distinguished by a black spot on their dorsal fin. Round Gobies can grow to a maximum of 25 cm in length and usually range in weight from 50 to 250 g. Their diet primarily consists of mollusks, crustaceans, worms, small fish, and insect larvae.

If you prefer to use natural baits, then the best way to catch Round Goby would be to use Night Crawlers on a size #4 hook.

If you are more into artificial lures, you should go for some Craws.

The most successful lure is Green Pumpkin Craw 2.5 cm.
