About Sander Baggersee Lake
Oh, Germany… This great land has some of the most captivating fishing destinations in Europe!
One of such gems is the Sander Baggersee Lake. Known for hosting a number of feeder fishing competitions, the lake is located in the lovely municipality Sand am Main in the state of Bavaria. Spreading over an area of about 40 hectares, the lake is, in fact, a large bay of the Main, the longest river flowing entirely in Germany. This magnificent waterway is much loved by German anglers for its diverse fishing possibilities. Be it feeder, float or spinning this lake’s ecosystem amazes with the abundance of fish species inhabiting its vast waters: from all kinds of Carp, Bream, Roach, Tench, and Zander to Catfish, Pike, and European Eel! And that’s only a few of the lake’s underwater dwellers…just waiting to be caught.
