Tackle load and balance

Tackle Load

During fish fights, there is always a load on elements of your tackle setup. This is shown on the Load Indicator on the right of the screen. Keep in mind that overloaded tackle may be subject to faster wear-and-tear or even breakage.

If the Line tension indicator goes red – reduce your drag force at once.

To relieve the stress load on the rod, reduce your drag force and change the angle between rod and line. But be careful not to shift all the load to your reel!

You can choose which Load Indicator you prefer - the single-bar or the three-bar and toggle between them in the Options - Game Settings menu.

Tackle Compatibility

Not all items are compatible with each other. For example, it is impossible to use a float on a spinning rod.

You can conveniently check a certain item's compatibility with other tackle by looking at the item's properties.

Tackle Weight Distribution

When assembling your fishing tackle, pay attention to such params as lure weight and max load of the rod, line and reel.

Wrong weight distribution can affect your casting distance, while using a heavy lure on a light rod might result in breakage right in the middle of a cast! Pay attention to warning messages and aim at optimized weight distribution.
